[The camera shoots a pigeon flying on an atypical Chicago’s blue sky,
as we see the title of the episode on the screen: “The sound of bells”]
[The camera goes on to the ambulance bay of the ER as we see an ambulance arriving
and Susan and Luka going towards it]
Paramedic: 76-year-old man, found passed out on his apartment’s floor
by his neighbor. Woke up in the ambulance but doesn’t seem to say anything
with sense. BP is fine, complained about a headache, we started an IV.
Susan: Ok; Mr. ...
Paramedic: Simpson.
Susan: Mr. Simpson, can you tell us where you are?
Simpson: On a hospital, I guess. Where is Tina? Can you call Tina?
Luka: Who is Tina?
Simpson: She’s my daughter. Please, call her.
Luka: We will. Can you remember what happened, Sir? [They start to get into
the ER]
Simpson: All I can remember is that I was making some tea, then the next thing
I was in an ambulance.
Susan: That’s all right, Sir. We’re gonna treat you. [They’re
already in an ER room transferring the patient to a bed]
[We see the opening credits of the show]
[The camera shoots Abby and Carter walking towards the ER]
Carter: So... What are you up for tonight?
Abby: I don’t know. What do you have in mind?
Carter: I was thinking about ordering some food in...
Abby: Ok...
[They enter the ER and walk towards the lounge]
Carter: What time are you out? [Both of them are changing and gathering their
med instruments in front of their lockers]
[Susan enters the lounge]
Susan: Hey, you two! [With a cordial smile]
Carter and Abby: Hey! [Also with a smile]
Susan: It has been a busy day! I need a high dose of caffeine to keep me going.
[Pouring some coffee]
Carter: So what time? [To Abby]
Abby: Eight.
Carter: Me too. See you later then. [Walking out]
[Abby stands there with that sad look of hers]
Susan: What’s wrong?
Abby: Nothing, why?
Susan: Come on! What’s up with the I-have-a-problem look?
Abby: It’s just... [Starts to rub her hands in a nervous kind of way]
Susan: Enough with the suspense! [In a funny voice]
Abby: I feel like we are loosing touch. I don’t know, maybe it’s
just me, but I’m afraid that I might be loo... [Stops talking like fearing
to say the word out loud]
Susan: What? Loosing him?
[Abby looks to Susan with lost puppet’s eyes in a way to say yes]
[We see now Pratt waiting for an ambulance outside and Carter joining him]
Carter: What do we have?
Pratt: Multiple gun shot wounds. Drug dealer X cops. The dealer lost.
[Pratt notices that Carter has a disturbed/sad look on his face]
Pratt: What’s wrong? Did I say something stupid?
Carter: No, no... It’s not you. Just problems in general...
Pratt: I bet is woman related... They have a way to let guys this way. Is Abby
giving you a hard time?
Carter: I don’t want to talk about it...
Pratt: Come on! We guys have to stick up together...
Carter: It’s just so complicated. She seems a little distant nowadays,
I guess I’m kind of insecure, you know? I’m not really sure if she
feels for me what I feel for her. I’m not getting a feedback, understand
me?
Pratt: Yeah, I know what you mean. Maybe you should talk to her about this,
she might be feeling the same way as you. It’s all about communication,
my friend...
[The ambulance arrives]
Paramedic: Drake Martin, 30 years old, one of the most wanted drug dealers of
Chicago area, was shot three times - one on the leg, one on the arm, and a serious
one on the chest. BP is high, we entered 5 mg of Vicodin IV, and two bags of
O- . Watch out! [In a low voice] The guy is trouble and has dangerous armed
“friends”. Good luck!
[Two cops are also there to makes sure that the guy won’t scape]
Pratt: Hey, do you know where you are?
Drake: Yeah, fool! A crap hospital! [Moving around a lot]
Carter: Don’t move like this. You’re loosing a bunch of blood. [They’re
already in the trauma room with Malik and Chuny] Three bags of O- stat!
Drake: You better take good care of me, otherwise you’ll all die with
me!
[Carter, Pratt, Malik and Chuny share a concerned look]
Carter: Malik, call in Neuro.
[Elsewhere we see Susan and Luka taking care of Mr. Simpson]
Susan: The labs aren’t ready yet?
Luka: No, things are slower than usual today. [We see the old man sleeping]
Susan: So... what do you think?
Luka: I don’t know, maybe is just the age.
Susan: Yeah. Did they reach the daughter?
Luka: Still trying...
Susan: Page me when the labs or the daughter get in. [Luka nods]
[Cut to Abby and Chen on the beside of a pregnant woman]
Chen: So... are you feeling better Mrs. ... [Looking in the chart] Adler?
[Abby is checking the sailing]
Mrs. Adler: You can call me Sophia, and yes. I’m feeling better. It was
just dizziness. My husband here, Nick, likes to make a big deal about all things
related to my pregnancy... Am I lying, sweetie?
Nick: Yes. She almost passed out, doctor. Is there anything wrong with Sophia
or Alicia?
Sophia: Alicia is the name of our baby girl. [With a huge smile on her face]
It’s our first child, so we’re very enthusiastic.
Chen: Your BP is a little high but everything else looks fine for an eight months
pregnancy like yours. Your EQG is fine. I’ll order some labs to check
everything else.
Nick: Thanks, doctor. That makes me more calm.
Chen: Abby, can you do an ultrasound, a chem 7, and check the urine for me?
Abby: Sure. [She starts to feel a little dizzy and rushes out to the bathroom]
[We see Abby throwing up... She washes her face as Chen walks in]
Chen: Are you ok?
Abby: Yes, it was just a nausea.
Chen: Do you need anything?
Abby: No, I’m fine.
Chen: All right. [She walks out]
[We see a concerned/scared look on Abby’s face]
[Cut to the trauma room where Carter and Pratt are treating the drug dealer]
Carter: Why Neuro isn’t here yet?
Malik: I called but they still haven’t come.
[The monitor starts to buzz]
Pratt: He’s crashing! What happened?
Carter: I think the bullet has traveled to his heart. He needs an air way!
Pratt: I do it... [He starts to slide the tube trough the man’s throat]
Got it! [He starts to press the man’s chest]
Carter: Bag him! [Malik is bringing the defibrillator] Charging two hundred!
Clear... [He gives a shock]
Chuny: Nothing.
Carter: Charging three hundred! Clear... [He shocks the man again]
Chuny: Still nothing...
Carter: Where the hell is the surgeon? We’ll have to open him. Give me
a ten blade. [He starts to cut] We shouldn’t be doing this in the ER...
[A guy walks in]
Guy: Hey, this is my bro! What’s going on?
Pratt: You can’t be in here. Malik get him out of here.
Chuny: Asystole.
Carter: That’s it. Let’s call it. Time of death [looking at the
room’s clock] - 11:50 AM.
Guy: This can’t be. You guys killed him! Watch out, ‘cause I’ll
get his revenge on you. [Looking to Carter and Pratt]
[He runs out. The cops run after but don’t catch him]
[Cut to Susan and Luka talking to the daughter of their patient]
Susan: So... he has epilepsy and Alzheimer?
Tina: Yes. Because of the Alzheimer he can’t remember of the epilepsy
and it gets worst every day. I tried to take care of him, but he can’t
live with us. My family is big and I barely can take care of my children. I
wanted but I can’t stop working to take care of him. And I haven’t
found any asylum that would take him.
Luka: We’ll see if there’s something that we can do. Maybe we can
find him a asylum...
Tina: That would be wonderful!
Susan: We’ll try...
[They walk away from the woman]
Susan: It’ll be hard to find a bed for this man.
Luka: Tell me about it... I’ll make some phone calls, there are people
owning me a couple of favors. Let me see what I can do.
Susan: Let me know if you find something. [He nods]
[The cop that was with the drug dealer talks to Carter and Pratt in front of
the trauma room]
Cop: That guy that entered here is a part of Martin’s gang. If I were
you I would be very careful. You shouldn’t walk around alone until we
catch these guys. Martin and his gang are well known for going after the people
connected to their targets, you know, brothers, mothers, sisters, wives...,
relatives. [We see Abby talking to Frank on the desk, Carter is staring at her
on this precise moment, but she isn’t looking at him] So... give yours
a heads-up.
Pratt: Wait! This guy is coming after us?
[Carter is still staring Abby]
Cop: I wouldn’t be surprised...
[Carter stops staring at Abby and starts looking directly to the cop]
Carter: What is the police going to do about it?
Cop: Well... we’ll keep two guards here with you to guarantee you’re
safe. I have to go now.
[Abby is leaving the ER, we see her getting in a drugstore. She walks in a aisle
and picks a product. She walks to the register to pay]
Clerk: It’s thirty dollars, miss. [We now see that the product is a pregnancy
test]
Abby: Here it go.
Clerk: Thanks.
[Abby leaves and gets back to the ER]
[Chen is visiting Sophia]
Chen: So... your labs are back. It turns out that it wasn’t a big deal.
You just were with a low glicose level. That’s why you almost passed out,
that’s very common.
Sophia: Didn’t I tell you, honey?
Nick: With yours and our baby’s life we don’t risk. [Smiling and
holding his wife hand]
[The baby monitor starts to beep]
Sophia: What’s happening?
Chen: The baby’s pulse is falling down. I need a nurse in here!
[Abby runs in]
Chen: [Looking to the ultrasound] The umbilical cord is trapped around the baby’s
neck. She can’t breath. We need to do a c-section now!
Nick: Oh, my God!
Sophia: It isn’t time yet! My ob doctor isn’t in town!
Chen: We can’t wait!
Nick: Everything will be just fine, darling.
Abby: Trauma one is opened...
[They carry Sophia in the trauma room, Nick is with her]
Chen: I need some Betadine to her belly. [Abby throws the medicine on her belly]
Nine blade... [She starts cutting]
Abby: She’s passing out... she’s loosing too much blood!
Chen: Two bags of O- , now!
Abby: We lost the baby’s pulse!
Nick: God! What is happening? Sophia! Sophia! [Screaming]
Abby: She can’t hear you, sir. You’ll have to wait outside. [She
makes a sign to Patricia, that is outside, to get him out of there]
Patricia: Come with me, sir.
Nick: I can’t leave them!
Patricia: You can’t help there, sir...
Chen: I can see the baby! [She gets her out, the baby is blue]
Abby: [Getting the baby] She’s not breathing. [Places her in an incubator
and starts CPR after putting a tube trough her throat]
Chen: The mother is loosing too much blood!
Abby: The baby isn’t responding...
Chen: The mother is crashing. [Pushing the defibrillator cart, Gallant enters
and starts pressing her chest] Charging two hundred. Clear... [Shocks the woman]
Nothing!
Abby: The baby isn’t breathing! [Weaver have joined her]
Weaver: There’s nothing more to be done. She stayed without breathing
for a long time. Time of death [looking at the room’s clock] - 5:06 PM.
Chen: [Now with Weaver too] Charging three hundred [Gallant is still pressing].
Clear... [Shock] Nothing!
Abby: Asystole.
Chen: Let’s call it. Time of death [looking at the clock] - 5:15 PM. [A
silence feels the room] I tell the husband... [Throwing her gloves on the floor
madly]
[Susan is going towards Luka]
Susan: So... you found the bed for Mr. Simpson.
Luka: Yes, a guy owned me a favor, and now I collected. Want to give the good
news to Tina with me?
Susan: Sure! [Smiling]
[They go talk to Tina that is sitting at the bedside of her father]
Luka: We found him a place.
Tina: Oh, my God! Are you serious?
Susan: Yes, we are.
Luka: The place is called “My Home” and it’s four blocks from
here. It’s a nice and clean place, you and your father will like it. Ask
to talk to Bill, tell him that Dr. Kovac send you.
Tina: I don’t know how to thank you two.
Luka: It’s our job. Don’t need to thank us.
Tina: No, really. Thank you a lot! [Smiling, she walks away]
Susan: It’s nice to see at least one good outcome!
Luka: Yes, indeed.
[Chen goes talk to Nick that is sitting on the waiting room]
Nick: What happened Dr.? [Standing up quickly]
Chen: Mr. Adler...
Nick: Call me Nick.
Chen: Nick, your wife had some complications. She lost a lot of blood, her heart
started to fail, we tried to resuscitated her for forty minutes. But unfortunately
she didn’t make it. I’m sorry. [We hear “Could it be any harder”
(The Calling) playing on the back]
Nick: Oh, dear God. [Starts to cry] What about Alicia?
Chen: Sadly the umbilical cord kept her from breathing for too long. We attempted
to do CPR, but it was too late.
Nick: What am I supposed to do now? [Sitting down easily and crying a lot] Tell
me Dr.? How am I supposed to go on without my wife and my daughter? Please,
tell me how. [Crying loudly and putting his head between the knees]
Chen: I don’t know, sir. I really don’t... [Passing her hand in
his back with a sad look. The music stops]
[Abby is in the bathroom taking the pregnancy test, she is looking to the pregnancy
test’s alarm clock]
Abby: [Talking to herself] Never three minutes took this long to pass! [We hear
an alarm ring] That’s it. [She catches the stick with her eyes closed
and places it in front of her. She opens slowly one eye and then the other.
She sees the result and throws it on the garbage. The camera goes very slowly
to shoot the stick that fell right on top of the test’s box. We see that
the stick is blue and on the box we can read: “Pink=positive” and
“Blue=negative”. The camera goes back to Abby that is washing her
face. She dries it with a paper towel and stares herself at the mirror. We see
in her face a nervous grin and then her face is taken by a deep sadness. She
throws the paper on the garbage to cover the test, she puts her hand on the
head and starts to look sick. She goes, sits on the toilet, and locks the door.
She throws up and passes out on the floor]
[We see Carter at the desk talking to Jerry. The camera shoots the clock on
the wall, it’s eight o’clock PM]
Carter: Hi, Jerry! Have you seen Abby around?
Jerry: No. You are the fifth person that asks me that in the last hour.
Carter: That’s odd. She was supposed to meet me here at the end of her
shift...
[Susan joins them at the desk]
Susan: Hi!
Carter: Hey. Have you seen Abby?
Susan: No. Try Chen. She was treating a patient with her.
Carter: Thanks.
[Carter goes after Chen and finds her in the hallway]
Carter: Hey, have you seen Abby?
Chen: No. She was helping me with a patient but it was hours ago. Why?
Carter: Nothing. Gotta go. Thanks.
[Carter runs to the outside of the ER and goes to the cops that were guarding
him and Pratt from Martin’s gang]
Carter: Any news from the gang?
Cop: No, not a word. But our men are looking for them.
Carter: Haven’t you seen any of these guys here?
Cop: No. Why?
Carter: My girlfriend. Nobody knows where she is.
Cop: Let’s look in the whole hospital! [They go to the ER and starts searching
the place]
Carter: [Running trough the hallways and shouting] Abby, are you there? [Looking
inside every room]
Cop: Miss Lockhart, are you there? [Running and shouting like Carter]
[They search all the bedrooms and find no sign of her]
[Carter is at the desk talking to Susan]
Carter: Oh my God! I can’t believe it! They must have taken her. [With
the saddest look on the face]
Susan: Relax, Carter. I’m sure we’ll find her. She probably went
out, or something.
Carter: No. We were supposed to meet each other at the end of our shift. If
she had to go out she would leave me a note.
Cop: In here! She’s in the bathroom! [Shouting]
[Carter starts to run like crazy to get there]
Cop: She passed out in the bathroom.
Carter: Thanks God she’s safe. [Embracing her body and lifting her up]
[Abby is lying in a hospital bed sleeping, and Carter is at her bedside holding,
very cutely, her hand. She wakes up]
Carter: Hey, you! [With a big smile on the face]
Abby: Hey. [With a pale smile] What happened?
Carter: You passed out on the bathroom. Are you okay?
Abby: Yeah. I remember feeling a little dizzy... What time is it?
Carter: 10:30 PM.
Abby: Already? I’ve been out this whole time?
Carter: Yes. You gave us a huge scare... I mean, you gave me a huge scare. I
thought that Martin’s men, you know, the drug dealer that I treated, kidnapped
you.
[She gives him a big smile, and holds his hand]
Abby: I’m very hungry. Can we eat something?
Carter: Yes. Susan was here a few minutes ago. She said that when you wake up
we could go. And she told me to keep an eye on you.
Abby: Ok, let’s go. [Laughing ironically]
Carter: Let’s just wait for your labs...
Abby: Tomorrow we see it. I wanna go home.
[Carter stares at her with a I-love-you-so-much look]
Abby: What? Something wrong?
Carter: [Like getting back to this reality] No, nothing. [Smiling] Let’s
go home.
[They walk away of the ER and cross with a cop]
Cop: We got them Dr. Martin’s men are in the way to jail now.
Carter: I’m very glad to hear that. Thanks officer.
Cop: No problem.
[We see Abby’s apartment, she’s sleeping and Carter is making her
breakfast]
Carter: Wake up, sleeping beauty...
Abby: Hey... What time is it?
Carter: It’s 8:30 AM.
Abby: My shift started at 8:00 AM.
Carter: I called them and told that you would come late. It’s Ok.
Abby: What is this? [Looking for a breakfast-in-bed table full of food]
Carter: I made you breakfast [Smiling]. You need to eat better. [Kissing her]
Abby: Thank you! It’s so sweet of you. [Kissing him back]
Carter: You’re more than welcome.
Abby: [Looking at him already dressed up and eating] Where are you going?
Carter: I have some things to do then I’m on at 10:00 AM. Are you gonna
be okay?
Abby: Yeah... See ya in the hospital. I’ll be there at 10:30 AM.
Carter: Don’t rush. Bye! [Gives her a kiss and walks out]
[Carter is parking his Jeep in front of a bank. He goes in there. We hear “Back
to you” (John Mayer) on the back]
Carter: Hi. I need to see my safety box.
Woman: Come with me [They start to walk inside the safety boxes area]. What
number is it?
Carter: 4521.
Woman: Here it is, sir. Call me if you need me.
Carter: Ok. Thank you!
[He gets something out of the box and leaves]
Woman: Are you done, sir?
Carter: Yes.
Woman: Have a nice day!
Carter: You too.
[Carter enters on his Jeep drives away. We see him pulling over in some kind
of store]
Carter: Hi, I’m Carter. John Carter. I called you this morning.
Clerk: Oh, yes. I remember.
Carter: So... everything ready?
Clerk: Yes, sir. We’ll be there 11:00 AM sharp.
Carter: Thanks a lot. [Smiling like a child. The song stops]
[Carter is hopping off of his Jeep near the ER. He looks at his watch, it’s
10:55 AM. We see a truck coming and Carter makes them a it’s-here sign.
Some guys all dressed up in suits come out of the truck and starts to take out
a huge stereo sound, among other stuff. Carter goes in Doc Magoo’s and
gets out in a luxury tuxedo]
Guy in a suit: We’re ready for you, sir. [People passing by start to gather
around to know what’s the fuzz about]
Carter: Just a sec. [He goes to his Jeep and gets out a gorgeous and huge rose
bouquet]
Carter: [to the guy] Wait here, I’ll check if she’s already in here.
[He goes quickly to the ER door and calls Frank outside]
Frank: What?
Carter: Is Abby in?
Frank: Yes. What the hell are you doing?
Carter: Something that I should have done a long time ago. [Smiling proudly]
Frank: You’re crazy, son.
[Carter stares the scenario, we see a huge stereo sound, eight guys in suits
standing in front of it, and in a arch a lot of pink, red and white balloons
in the shape of hearts. All this in front of the ER]
Carter: All ready! Give me the microphone.
[The company guy turns on the stereo and Carter starts to talk for everybody
in the whole block to hear]
Carter: Abigail Lockhart, could you please come out?!
[Inside of the ER Abby is treating a patient with Susan]
Susan: Did you hear that?
Abby: Hear what?
Susan: This!
[Carter asks again]
Carter: Abigail Lockhart, could you please come out?!
Abby: Oh, my God! What is this?
Susan: I think it’s Carter’s voice.
[The two of them start to walk towards the exit. As they walk everybody at the
ER staff stares Abby smiling at her]
Abby: I can’t believe he’s doing that. [Smiling happily]
[They open the ER front door and see the whole love scenario. They look impressed]
Susan: Too much for someone who was loosing interest, huh?! [Grinning]
Carter: Here it is everybody! The woman that captured my heart!
[People from the street, from the ER crew, even patients makes a lot of noise
cheering Carter]
Carter: [Speaking on the mic and handling her the bouquet] Abby, please. Just
listen what I have to say.
[She stands there a little bit ashamed but completely flattered and happy]
Carter: This one is for you. [The guys start to play the music “Have you
ever really loved a woman” (Bryan Adams) on their guitars - that are hooked
up on the stereo]
Carter: Sorry, but yes. I’ll sing! [He starts to sing the song looking
directly into her eyes]
Susan: [to Abby] He sure didn’t measured efforts. [Grinning]
[The song finishes and he starts saying on the mic]
Carter: Abby, I know that we have been trough a lot. We battled against many
obstacles and still we managed to stay together all this time. Yesterday I faced
the perspective of living my life without you, and let me tell you, I didn’t
liked it. As a matter of fact, I guess I couldn’t do it. So... I stayed
all night think about it, and I can tell you that I never, ever, felt this way
for anybody else. Like the song I really, really love you. I don’t care
anymore, I was wrong, I love you just the way you are. So... if you feel the
same way about me I would be honored [he starts to walk towards her, gets down
on one knee in front of her, takes the little velvet box that he took from the
bank out of his pocket and opens it. We see the gorgeous ring that belonged
to Carter’s gamma] if you accepted to be my wife. Abigail Lockhart, will
you marry me?
[The crowd goes wild and suddenly stays in silence waiting for her answer. We
hear some commentaries]
Old woman: What a nice young man!
Lady: If she doesn’t accept, I marry him!
Guy: She can’t say no to a proposal like this one, man!
[We see some familiar faces on the crowd: Chen, Weaver, Corday, Pratt, Gallant;
everybody happy, except Luka that has a jealously look on the face]
[The camera goes back on Abby. She whispers something on Carter’s ear]
Abby: I really love you too, John [Whispering]. Yes, I will marry you! [Out
loud]
[They kiss passionately as everybody makes noise and applauds. He puts the ring
on her finger]
Carter: [Whispering in her ear now] This is the happiest day of my life!
[The “party” ends up, and we see the new fiancés in the lounge
gathering their stuff to go home, as Susan walks in]
Susan: Hey, love birds!
Carter and Abby: Hi!
Susan: I have some news for you two. Can you sit down, please? [They all sit
down at the couch]
Carter: What’s up?
Susan: With all this fuzz I kind of forget to get your labs back. But I did
it now.
Abby: Something wrong?
Susan: Well... Nothing’s wrong, but I found something “unusual”.
Carter: What?
Susan: You’re gonna be mommy and daddy! Congratulations, Abby! You’re
pregnant!
Abby: It can’t be. I did a drugstore pregnancy test yesterday, and it
turned out negative.
Susan: You know, these tests aren’t 100% right. This explain you passing
out...
Carter: [to Abby] You suspected you’re pregnant and you didn’t tell
me?
Susan: I’ll give you guys a time alone. Congrats, again! [Leaves the lounge.
We start to hear the song “Head over feet” (Alanis Morissette) on
the back]
Abby: I was feeling a little dizzy sometimes, nausea, unusual hungry and I was
late. But I didn’t want to worry you until I was sure. Then I took the
test and it was negative, so I thought you shouldn’t have to worry about
it. Sorry. [With a sad look]
Carter: There’s no need to be sorry. We should be happy right now! [Smiling
and catching her hand]
Abby: You know what I feel about pregnancy... What if I pass the disease to
the baby?
Carter: Hey, hey... You don’t need to worry about it [still holding her
hand]. I’m here for you! We can deal with anything,... together. Don’t
you want this baby?
Abby: Of course I do! [Looking at him in the eyes]
Carter: So this is a happy news! We should act like it! What can be better then
get engaged and find out that we’re gonna have a baby at the same day?!
[Smiling]
Abby: You’re right!
Carter: Come here! [He hugs and kisses her] I can’t believe I’m
going to be a daddy! Are you there buddy?! [Talking to her stomach] Let’s
tell everyone! [He takes her hand and starts to take her to the desk]
Abby: Wait a minute. John, I want to tell you...
Carter: What?
Abby: John, if I ever made you feel like I don’t love, I’m sorry.
Sometimes I get scared of letting my true feelings show, you know? [He nods]
I mean, I love you. I really do. Don’t let my insecurities scare you away,
ok?! Never. Can you promise me?
Carter: I swear you that nothing will keep us apart. [With that gentle look
of his]
Abby: Ok, now we can go. [They walk towards the desk. The song stops]
[At the desk he starts to talk to everyone]
Carter: May I have your attention, please?
[The ER staff gathers around the desk. Abby stands there with a happy face]
Carter: Hi, everyone! As I thought that this day couldn’t be happier,
you know, because of the engagement; Abby and I discovered that we’re
having a baby. Yes! We’re pregnant. [Smiling in the cutest way. He kisses
her]
Abby: Yes, it’s true. We’re having a baby. [Also smiling]
Weaver: [to Carter and Abby] In the name of the ER crew I would like to congratulated
you two. Good luck! [Smiling atypically]
Chen: [to the happy couple] My congratulations, you two! [Also smiling]
[After everybody wished congratulations, the couple talked in the middle of
the fuzz that the news generated]
Abby: So, John... We’re having a baby! [Smiling very happily but a little
perplexed]
Carter: Yes, we certainly are! [Kisses her passionately in the middle of a huge
smile]
[We see the end credits of the show]
*******THE END*******
